Summer 2023 Conference
Welcome
I am delighted to welcome you to our 2023 Summer Conference: Global Connections, The Wisdom Amongst Us, held at the beautiful VOCES8 Centre on 3rd and 4th June. This non-residential conference is a unique two-day collaboration between AOTOS and NATS (our American counterparts), with our friends from the BVA, who are visiting us with a number of their members.
Music and music education has long been regarded as an international language and this will be an opportunity for us to share ideas; learning from the rich history, wisdom and experience offered by both organisations. We have much to offer each other and I look forward to sharing our individual experiences and wisdom with fellow members and friends.

I am thrilled to welcome eminent speakers and practitioners from across the globe. On the Saturday we are delighted to welcome our honorary president, Sir Thomas Allen, who will give a masterclass, alongside talks from Anne-Marie Speed and Dr Barbara Hoos de Jokisch. There will be a drinks reception and a chance to discuss the day with fellow participants on the Saturday night. The Sunday will feature panel discussions and presentations with a masterclass by Dr Gillyanne Kayes and Jeremy Fisher, accompanied by panel discussions featuring; Ken Bozeman, Dr Jenevora Williams, Martin Ashley and Declan Costello, to name but a few.
In keeping with the theme of the sharing of knowledge, we will also be hosting a variety of mini presentations given by AOTOS, NATS and EVTA members. Please note the application window for this opportunity has now closed.
I look forward to seeing you and sharing ideas at this exciting weekend.
