Welcome to AOTOS Teacher Development!

The object of AOTOS is to advance education in the teaching of singing. We do this through our conferences and area workshop days, but for many years we have also offered teacher training courses. As the only UK professional body specifically for voice teachers, we are able to draw on a body of knowledge from our whole membership, with experts at the highest level across all genres, ages and voice types: our philosophy is to encourage openness and the sharing of ideas.

We launched our new accredited course, Essentials, at the AGM in July 2021 and you can read more about it by going to the Essentials tab. This course is aimed at people who are starting to teach singing or who have been teaching for up to four years.

We know that teaching can be quite isolating at times so a little encouragement and guidance can go a long way. If you have been teaching for less than two years and would like some help and support, Joy Naylor and Sarah Taylor would be very happy to hear from you.
