Paul Wingfield

British conductor Paul Wingfield has worked with many of the leading UK opera companies. He was a Jette Parker Young Artist at the Royal Opera House from 2012 to 2014. During his time there he conducted productions in the Linbury Theatre and on the main stage, as well as numerous concerts. He was also mentored by Antonio Pappano and acted as assistant conductor on Carmen, Gloriana and Die Zauberflöte. Recent work includes La bohème (Opera Holland Park); Pleasure (Opera North); Iolanta (IF Opera); Clemenza di Tito (Chelsea Opera Group); Le nozze di Figaro (Garsington). Paul is also Head of Vocal and Operatic Studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where recent productions have included Coraline, The Enchanted Island and Cunning Little Vixen. In his spare time he enjoys going on adventures with his young family.

There will be time to network and socialise with other AOTOS members during the afternoon.

If you are a member of AOTOS and have a student who would like to participate in the practical workshop with Jonathan Gunthorpe, please contact Central Area Representative Charlotte Mendly: [email protected]
