The Summer conference 2014 is entitled ‘Singing into the Future’ and will take place at Warwick University Arts Centre on 25 -27 July. It promises to be a lively and interactive week-end. Dr Meribeth Dayme, our resident guest speaker, will be delivering practical workshops and masterclasses on the theme of ‘creating new paradigms from the old’, using concepts developed from Eastern and Western traditions. Other eminent guest speakers include Dr Jenevora Williams, Dr Alan Watson and Choral Director David Lawrence. Contributions from dedicated AOTOS members include a masterclass led by Liza Hobbs, and repertoire and social media sessions with Heidi Pegler and Ian Anderson Gray respectively. There will be seminars on ‘Singing For The Brain’, (Victoria Bremner), Community singing (Jane MacDouall) and Early Years. Rachel Little, Christopher Wray and Joy Naylor will lead daily warm-ups and Philippa Hardy will offer a session on working with CDs and backing tracks in the classroom. The last day of conference will include the AGM, a summary of the ‘Leo Sings’ European project by EVTA Secretary Dr Susan Yarnall Monks, a round table discussion on the future of singing teaching, and a fascinating session on ‘drawing your song’ with Meribeth Dayme.

All members will shortly receive a Brochure through the post to signify that booking is open which you will be able to do by post or online.
