RSL Rockschool vocal exams

An in depth look at the Rockschool exams. How they are similar and different to traditional classical exams. Time to go through and understand the ‘session skills’ and other extra tests as well as looking at the online teacher platform that accompanies the exam structure and how it can support our teaching.

All of this followed by a Q&A with the examination team. No experience necessary, but you are also welcome if you have used the exams before as this links to the launch of their new syllabus for singing.

RSL Awards will provide an overview of their new Graded Vocals syllabus and how it addresses the needs of singing students in 2022. Their Chief Examiner, Dr Andrew McBirnie and Academic Director, Tim Bennett-Hart, will focus on the technical exercises and unseen test areas of the syllabus and how these support the development of skills to support solo performance and work within group settings. The session will also introduce the interactive learning tools provided through the RSL Learning Platform App.
