Accountant

Stephanie Blake

Stephanie qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2001 and has worked for a number of organisations in the service sector. She moved from the home counties to the West Country in 2007 when the head office of the management consultancy that she was working for was disbanded, following the sale of the company. More recently, she was head of finance for ten years at Foxes Academy, an award-winning catering college in Somerset for youngsters with learning disabilities.

As well as doing the day to day accounts for AOTOS, she looks after the finances of two local GP surgeries and a small number of private individuals. Within the charity sector, she has just retired after nine years as secretary of a local organisation helping the homeless and those struggling with addiction.

She originally did a music degree at Leeds University where she studied singing with Jean Allister. She is still involved with music locally on an amateur basis, both singing and playing her flute. She and her husband Jonathan share their lives with four ponies, including three rescued Exmoors, plus a number of rescued guinea pigs and two house-rabbits!
