Ian Anderson GrayAfter reading music at the University of Durham, Ian studied singing at the Royal Northern College of Music with Neil Howlett and received a Masters in Performance.

In 2002 he set up an internet business, Select Performers, with his father, Tom. Select Performers is a web development company specialising in social media, internet marketing, search engine optimisation and web site design and development.

As a solo baritone, he regularly performs oratorio and recitals throughout the United Kingdom. He appeared at the Spitalfields Festival in London with the RNCM Baroque Ensemble, and sang as soloist on the BBC Daily Service. He sang the Beast with Opera North’s education project Beauty and the Beast composed by Daniel Marsh. Previous concerts include Szymanowski’s Stabat Mater (in Polish) with the Manchester University Chorus and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle with the Isles of Scilly Choral Society. In November 2005 he gave the premier of Helen Seddon-Gray’s Craving for Spring for baritone and orchestra with the University of Manchester Sinfonietta.

In addition to his performing engagements, he teaches voice at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester Grammar School and Cheadle Hulme School. He lives in Manchester with his wife and two children. He can be found on Twitter- @iagdotme and on Google+.
