AOTOS is looking for a paid part-time book-keeper to take over the reins from our long-serving treasurer, Ian Garner. This position would suit someone self-employed who is experienced in accounting or book-keeping, but they do not need to be a singer or a member of AOTOS. Please let your friends and colleagues know!
Deadline: Friday 15th February. Interviews via Skype. The successful applicant would need to take on the role from 19th March.
This is a paid position for someone who is self-employed. The book-keeper will not be a member of the AOTOS council and need not be a member of the association, or a singing teacher.
Keep accurate and comprehensive accounting records.
Use computerised accounting software (Sage, Quickbooks) or spreadsheet software such as Excel.
Record transactions and allocate to projects:
- from bank account
- from PayPal account
- any other.
Make payments authorised by trustees.
Reconcile accounts monthly.
Prepare the Gift Aid claim for HMRC from information supplied from the membership database.
Supply information for each council meeting.
Liaise with AOTOS council members as needed.

From £15 an hour, depending on experience. We expect the hours to be around 25 a month.
