Linda Marshall Cole

Linda Marshall Cole

Linda Marshall Cole has been involved in teaching singing in the state and private sectors for the last thirty years. She has a private teaching practice at home in Taunton and teaches three days a week at Blundell’s School, Tiverton, preparing students for a variety of exams.

She was originally classically trained, singing many opera roles and oratorio as a lirico spinto soprano, but recently has done a great deal of work with Musical Theatre voice qualities, having studied Voicecraft, Vocal Anatomy and current techniques. She is passionate about singing and has been really thrilled by the researches in the last fifteen years which have increased the knowledge of how we produce sound.

She is Vocal Competitions Secretary for the Taunton and Somerset Music and Drama Festival, President of Taunton Choral Society, a member of EVTS SW in Bristol (an interactive exploratory group of voice users, particularly singers). She has run summer courses and has been involved in much music making in Taunton including involvement with her husband’s chamber choir, music trust and orchestra.
