Perfect and perform
workshop and masterclass
with Mary King
Sunday 14 May 2017
A chance to spend time perfecting your technique but also remembering about the performance. The acclaimed teacher and vocal coach Mary King will spend the day in a masterclass/workshop setting, working with students of teachers from our area in all styles of music. You can just come along and observe the workshop or bring a student to sing and watch them flourish.
Singers young and old, from the age of 13, are welcome and all genres of song will be covered in the class.
Early booking for places with a student is recommended as they are bound to be at a premium. Caroline Jaya-Ratnam will be accompanying all day so teachers can fully benefit from watching Mary work. (Music copies for Caroline should be sent to local representative Jan Spooner Swabey by the end of April.) Please send details of student singers to South-East Representative Jan Spooner Swabey so we can plan the schedule.
Mary, one of AOTOS’s honorary life presidents, is always a favourite speaker and this more practical day will make full use of her great talents. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with one of the outstanding vocal teachers of our age so do come and join us!
Light refreshments are included in the fee but not lunch, so please bring your own.
