The Autumn conference, organised by incoming Chairman, Janice Thompson, is based on the theme of ‘Good Learning, Good Teaching.’ It will take place on November 4th at St Paul’s Girls’ School.
Penny Price-Jones, AOTOS Chair-Elect and Teacher Training Director, will reflect on teaching and learning styles, based on a topic she covers during the Teacher Training week. Distinguished musician Gordon Stewart will offer insight into varying types of operatic voices and suggestions for teaching material to explore the Operatic Repertoire at different levels.
There will be a practical introduction to the Accent Method and its use in singing by specialists Dinah and Sara Harris. Soo Bishop from the Merton Music Foundation will end the day with a practical introduction to her method of working with young Key-Stage 2 voices.
