| Saturday 2nd April, 2011 | Spring 2011 | King Edward VI High School for Girls, Edgbaston, Birmingham Many people have expressed a wish to hold a Conference on a Saturday, and others have commented about the infrequency of Sunday trains and that the Birmingham Conservatoire is a long way from the main station and furthermore, has no parking. Therefore this change to our traditional practice has been approved by Council to meet all these comments and the future possibility of a repeat of this arrangement will depend on the support given to this change. The Conference will be for the same length of time as normal Conferences, starting early afternoon, and finishing early evening. Lunch will not be provided, but there will be a tea of sandwiches and cakes during the tea interval. The venue is just off the A38 with plenty of car parking available. The School is near the University Campus and trains run from New Street Station to the University Station at 10 minute intervals – journey time roughly 8 minutes, There is a short flat walk of roughly 10 minutes through the University campus to the School. Full details will be sent out in the normal way. |
